My last fall quarter of my undergraduate career is finally over! While it fills me with a lot of nostalgia and sadness, I’m glad I am getting so close to graduation and moving on with the next chapter of my life. I’m finally getting into a good working routine with shooting for myself as well as shooting for other blogger friends on top of balancing schoolwork and extracurricular activities. I have a lot of big plans for next quarter and I’m very excited to take you guys along with me!

A few months ago, my friend Linh from Linhwinn.blogspot.com sent me a message suggesting that I try out these ponchos from Forever 21 and take my wardrobe in a new direction. I was a little hesitant since I’m not used to incorporating big statement pieces in my outfits besides jewelry and patterns. This poncho is one of my favorite pieces in my closet at the moment. It’s super comfortable, has a great color, the design is minimal compared to the other ponchos in the collection. You can also create a few looks by simply draping the poncho in different ways. My favorite way to wear it is simply have the sides hanging down. It flows really nicely and creates a really nice silhouette.

My only gripe is that it’s rather difficult to style because it can either work really well or really bad depending on what you happen to wear underneath. For now, I prefer to keep my shirts clean in either black or white. I might try out some new color combinations later on but for now I feel that black works best for this look.
