This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of LA’s annual Charity Fashion Show at the Exchange in Hollywood. My friend Sharon Cheung is a contestant in the Miss Chinatown pageant and participated in the fashion show as a part of her duties. Her and her fellow contestants all modeled for the 4 lines that presented at the show in the afternoon.
After the luncheon was served and everyone was seated, the show began with a brand called See U Soon. They had light and airy professional pieces that work perfectly for the cool spring weather we get in LA.
The collection that showed was called Evenuel. They had more casual and utilitarian business staples like colorful blazers and denim for the spring season.
Out of the 3 contemporary lines that showed that afternoon, my favorite by far was Color Block. The pieces were fun and flirty and played the most with trending spring patterns out of the 3.
The climax of the show was Lucci Lu, a special occasion gown brand that caters mostly to proms, weddings, and pageants. The dresses were stunning and every single model looked radiant in the gowns that were provided. My top two choices of the collection are the black and sea green floor length gown, and this cobalt blue knee length pieces seen above.
Everyone looked amazing and all of them did an amazing job on the runway. Good luck on the future events and the pageants ladies, I’m sure it will be an amazing show.
