Jenn Im is one of my all time favorite fashion bloggers, actually, she’s the reason why I even began my journey into fashion at all. After watching her videos and following her Instagram in 2014, I decided to make fashion my career path; not just with blogging, but in marketing, PR, and social media.

I think my favorite thing about Jenn is her reliability and the down to earth mentality she has about fashion. Far too often I encounter people in this industry that treat fashion like some exclusive rich, cool kid club that very few people are invited to. Fashion is, and should be, an accessible path of creativity that everyone should be able to enjoy.

For my Jenn Im inspired gender bend look, I played with two signature aspects of her very extensive wardrobe: her iconic beret, and playful, quirky prints. To get a more specific look, I decided to mimic an outfit she featured in her recent winter lookbook. While I don’t own any berets, I found this ascot cap at Crossroads that plays with the aesthetic quite nicely. For my quirky print, this short sleeve shirt from Forever 21 has a vintage bicycle print all over it that I absolutely love.

Nelson-13For the rest of the outfit, I just paired some black dress pants to match her distressed black jeans, and my FAVORITE gold tipped leather shoes from Aldo. A Coach bag and my typical Aldo watch and bracelets round out the look and make it my own.

Bonus shot: Makito wanted to practice doing some running shots and I had to do the stereotypical anime “come with me” running pose. Corny, I know. Hope everyone is having an awesome hump day so far! See you on Friday for a new edition of the Intern Diaries!
